The City of Pearsall is seeking an experienced city manager to provide his/her leadership and management skills in directing our City towards a more secure and prosperous future. The City is a home rule city of approximately 10,000 in population and has 71 employees and a total annual operating budget of $5,300.000.
The City seeks an individual with a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, and Public Administration or in a related field. A Masters’ degree is a plus. Evidence of continued professional development is important. A minimum of five to eight years of experience in city management would enable the successful candidate to satisfactorily perform the duties of our City Manager. An equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered.
The starting salary for the new City Manager will be market competitive depending on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate. Fringe benefits are also competitive. Residency is required by our home rule charter. The City is an “at will employer” as well as an Equal Opportunity Employer.
