Cinco de Mayo Festival & BBQ Cookoff

The festivities continue in Pearsall, Texas with a Cinco de Mayo event celebrating the city’s Mexican-American heritage and culture. The newly formed Tourism and Business Development Department, along with support from Garcia’s Bar & Grill and the Servants Motorcycle Club, are collaborating on the festivities taking place on Saturday, May 6th from 10am to 1:00am and Sunday, May 7th from Noon to 10pm, in downtown Pearsall, between San Marcos and Oak Streets.

This FREE music event features the great Tejano and Latin American sounds of the Zamorales band on Saturday and on Sunday the spotlight belongs to the Siggno band who has performed to sold-out houses and festivals all over Mexico and the United States. Other bands lined up to perform over the two-day event are Desigual, Grupo Vida, Los Truenos de Tejas, Lucky Joe and Masizzo.

On Saturday, May 6th, the Servants Motorcycle Club is having their annual fundraiser with a bike show, raffle, tattoo contest, blood drive, and more. In addition, the Garcia’s Bar & Grill will stream live on May 6th, the Canelo Álvarez vs. Julio César Chávez Jr. Fight. The Garcia’s Bar & Grill also invites you to compete in this year’s Cinco de Mayo Bar-B-Que Cookoff with cash prizes, entry fee is $50. Call (830) 267-0917 for more details.
