DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Parks and Recreation Department is to create and provide recreation, leisure, and community activities in order to promote public well being and a quality of life for our youths, our adults, and our senior citizens.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Parks and Recreation Department improves the quality of life for Pearsall citizens by maintaining three City Parks on 21.5 acres, 3/4 miles of a jogging trail, a sports athletic complex, our Neighborhood Center, and our public Library. The Department maintains and schedules the use of the Sports Athletic Complex as well as the use of the parks for special community activities. The Parks and Recreation Department also develops and manages various sports tournaments and special events during the year.
