DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to provide unparalleled service by fostering an organizational environment that encourages a commitment to teamwork and to the efficient delivery of quality municipal services to all of our citizens. To strive to be consistent in the efficient and effective construction, operation, and maintenance of our streets, alley, and any other area entrusted to this department, ensuring quality and safety for our citizens.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Street Department contributes to the quality of life for Pearsall citizens by maintaining 65 linear miles of city streets and improvements. The Department maintains and schedules repairs and improvements on City Streets, City Hall facilities, Neighborhood Center facilities, Library facilities, Service Center facilities, Dog Pound facilities, and general maintenance on designated City lots. The Street Department also coordinates the semi-annual citizens trash disposal, as well as mosquito control. The department is also responsible for indirect duties such as street parade control and street Christmas decorations.
